Elkton will soon have a new police chief.
Elkton Mayor Arthur Green says he’s chosen Logan County Sheriff’s Deputy Robert Toombs, citing his qualifications and experience.
He says four candidates were interviewed and he saw Toombs as the best choice
Toombs will replace former chief Brian Atkinson, who retired in early July.
He is the husband of Judy Toombs, the former director of Christian County ECC and Todd County Emergency Management.
