Guthrie Heritage Days is this weekend

Guthrie will celebrate its 140th birth at the city’s Heritage Days festival this weekend.

Events kickoff Friday night from 5 until 9 p.m. in downtown Guthrie with live music by the Todd County Boys and Amanda Sadler at Longhurst Park. Guthrie volunteer firefighters will be cooking and all proceeds from food sales will benefit their department.

Saturday’s activities go from 9 a.m. until 11 p.m. and include vendors, a little miss and mister pageant at 9:30 a.m., a tobacco show at 10 a.m. at Guthrie City Hall, a kids zone with bouncers and slides from 9 until 6:30 and live music downtown with various performers throughout the day and evening.

There will be a fireworks show to conclude Heritage Day Saturday night at 10.
