Austin Peay junior defensive back Kordell Jackson was named Sunday as Ohio Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Week. The Birmingham native became the first player in Austin Peay history to return a pair of interceptions for touchdowns in the team’s 48-34 road victory over Mercer. He is the first OVC player to return two interceptions for a score in the same game since 2017. Jackson also had two tackles and a pass breakup.
