Animal shelter’s Spayghetti Dinner raises record $19,448

Hundreds of people packed the Bruce Convention Center Saturday night to help the Christian County Animal Shelter raise a record $19,488 for its Get’em Done Program.

Shelter Director Irene Grace says she was very pleased that the community again turned out and supported their largest fundraiser.

She notes the money will help get cats and dogs spayed or neutered before they take permanent residence in their new adopted forever homes.

Grace says the shelter owes a lot of gratitude for employees, volunteers, businesses and others who made the night a success.

The event featured the dinner, live auction, silent auction and a buy-it-now table.
