City of Hopkinsville unveils website upgrades, help hotline

The City of Hopkinsville has an updated website and are rolling out a new help hotline to the public.

According to a news release, Hopkinsville residents and visitors will have easier access to important local information and reporting tools.  The Hoptown Hotline can be accessed from desktop computers, tablets, smartphones and other mobile devices by visiting hoptown.org or by calling 270-887-4000. Hoptown Hotline features five categories that highlight the most common reasons the public reaches out to city offices including, frequently asked questions, reporting an issue, finding out which council members represents them, the community calendar and career opportunities.

Other upgrades include interactive social media features, an updated look, user friendliness and more.  Along with the Hoptown Hotline, residents can also use the GovAlert app to request mosquito spraying, identify clogged storm drains, report overgrown grass and unsafe structures and more.

Mayor Carter Hendricks says, “We strive to be as responsive as possible to constituents who want to get information or report concerns to us.  That’s why we couldn’t be more excited to make these easy-to-use tools available to the public.”
