Wednesday marks the 18th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks on the United States and there will be two services in Hopkinsville to remember the nearly 3,000 people who perished.
The first will be at 9:30 a.m. at the Hopkinsville Fire Department main station, where there will be a ceremony, followed by the annual stair climb.
VFW Post 1913 will host its annual service at 11 a.m. at its location off Skyline Drive near Kroger and Commander John Brame says it’s an occasion to remember the day America was attacked.
He says the short service will be followed by a meal.
The public is invited to attend both events.
