A Hanson man is facing numerous charges, including wanton endangerment, following a pursuit in Hopkins County Friday.
According to a news release, deputies with the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Department observed a vehicle operated by 28-year old Christopher Cullen of Hanson disregard a stoplight and attempted to pull the vehicle over. Cullen allegedly accelerated and a pursuit began.
During the pursuit, Cullen reportedly ignored more stoplights, attempted to ram a Kentucky State Police cruiser, almost struck a Dawson Springs police officer and ran another vehicle off the roadway. The pursuit came to an end when Cullen voluntarily came to a stop on Charleston Road.
He was taken into custody and charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer, fleeing or evading police, reckless driving and disregarding a traffic control device.
