HPD: Man was driving stolen car

The Hopkinsville Police Department has charged a man with felony receiving stolen property after he was allegedly driving a vehicle that had been reported stolen.

According to the police report, officers observed the vehicle, which had been reported stolen, being driven on Alumni Avenue and initiated a traffic stop.  Twenty-three year old Kaylob Meeks of Hopkinsville was reportedly the driver, and was allegedly driving on a suspended license.

A search of the vehicle allegedly revealed a bag that contained pills that were an illegal legend drug.

Meeks was arrested and charged with felony receiving stolen property, operating on a suspended license and possession of a legend drug.
