Several local players have stats that are among the tops in the state according to the KHSAA. Hopkinsville quarterback Jay Bland is 13th in passing with numbers 30-59 for 508 yards with six touchdowns and two interceptions.
Madisonville’s Jeriah Hightower is sixth in the state in rushing with 45 carries for 412 yards and three TD’s.
Tiger wide receiver Reece Jesse is 10th in receiving with 16 receptions for 257 yards and four touchdowns. Todd Central’s DJ Johnson is 42nd with four catches for 90 yards and a TD.
Hopkinsville place kicker Mason Marschand is tied for first in field goals having gone 2-2 so far. Simon Lind of Madisonville is also 2-2.
Madisonville’s Nick Grant is third in interceptions with three picks on the season.
