An investigation on Bethel Street Wednesday afternoon led to the arrest of a local man on a drug trafficking charge.
An arrest citation for 44-year old Timothy Wharton of Hopkinsville says he was in possession of two small plastic baggies that he admitted contained synthetic drugs.
Wharton was arrested and charged with trafficking in synthetic drugs.
