MLB: Reds lose while Cardinals, Cubs and Braves win Tuesday

The Cincinnati Reds scratched pitcher Alex Wood from the start with a lower back issue in a 6-2 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies last night. Game three of the series is tonight with airtime at 5:10 on News Radio 95.3 FM/1230 AM WHOP.

Elsewhere in the National League: Jack Flaherty fired eight innings of one-hit ball in the St. Louis Cardinals’ 1-0 win over the San Francisco Giants at Busch Stadium. The series continues tonight.

Interleague: Nicholas Castellanos smacked a three-run home run in the Chicago Cubs 6-1 win against the Seattle Mariners at Wrigley Field. The Cubs are off today.

Josh Donaldson went 2-for-3 with three RBI against his former team as the Atlanta Braves beat the Toronto Blue Jays 7-2. Atlanta won its sixth straight. The Braves are off today before beginning a four game series with Washington at Sun Trust Park tomorrow night.
