The Pennyrile Walk to End Alzheimer’s is coming up at the end of September, and the annual fundraiser has some changes this year.
Alan Toliver appeared on WHOP recently and says the walk has moved to a Sunday this year on September 29, set to begin at 2 p.m. and following the usual ceremonies and event, they’ll have a festival style gathering.
He says all money raised goes to benefit research, medical care and more in the ongoing search find a cure for Alzheimer’s, and their goal this year is $85,000.
Many fundraising efforts are already well underway for the cause, and multiple teams and individuals have raised impressive amounts. The walk will begin at the Christian County Justice Center for more information on the event and how to get involved or donate, go online to alz.org/walk.
