Two days before beginning his seventh season as Kentucky’s football coach, Mark Stoops was awarded a contract amendment today. UK athletics director Mitch Barnhart says Stoops will receive a guaranteed compensation of $500-thousand per year for the remaining six years on the contract. Stoops will also get an additional $250-thousand for each win beginning with the ninth win of the season and $50-thousand for being named SEC Coach of the Year and $100-thousand for being named National Coach of the Year.
