When Pennyrile Electric and country music singer-songwriter Brice Long recently learned the Hopkinsville High School guitar class was going to have to share a few instruments this year, they jumped into action and purchased 15 Fender acoustic guitars to donate to the group.
Long said he was happy for his Back to Back Foundation to be able to assist with supplying the guitars—urging the students to work hard and follow their dreams.
Pennyrile Electric CEO Alan Gates says they were eager to help and they appreciate Hopkinsville High School for placing an emphasis on music education.
School system Superintendent Mary Ann Gemmill thanked Long and Pennyrile, urging students to look to Long as an example and to take his message to heart.
Nick Calcamuggio is the guitar teacher at Hopkinsville High and said the class was going to be much more difficult with only a few guitars that would have had to be shared.
