Two homes were evacuated on Broad Street Tuesday morning due to a ruptured gas line.
That’s according to Hopkinsville Fire Department Captain Michael Pendleton, who says no one was injured in the incident, which was caused when a construction crew was digging in the area and hit the gas line. Two homes were evacuated as a precaution.
Atmos Energy, along with the fire department, was on scene repairing the line. The road was closed to traffic to allow for the repairs to be made.
