Woman injured in Monday morning crash

A woman was taken to the hospital following two rear-end collisions near the Fort Campbell Boulevard – Interstate 24 interchange early Monday morning.

It happened about 6 a.m. and Hopkinsville Police Sgt. Chris Bond says the first collision happened in the northbound lanes of the Boulevard when a vehicle slid into another as the traffic light turned yellow.

Two other vehicles were getting off I-24 onto the southbound lanes of 41A and the driver of the front vehicle swerved to avoid the collision in the intersection and hit her brakes. She was rear-ended by a vehicle driven by a 24-year old woman, who was the only person who complained of injury.

She was taken by EMS to Tennova Health Hospital for treatment of back pain.
