Warrant: Sex offender caught peeking in window of home with toddler inside

A convicted sex offender accused of peeking into the window of a home where a small child was inside was arrested Sunday night on multiple warrants.

Officers arrested 72-year old Roy Pluskis of Hopkinsville at an East First Street location about 7:45 p.m. Sunday.

A warrant for failure to comply with the sex offender registry and criminal trespassing alleges that on August 13, Pluskis was observed by a woman peeking in the window of her home where a three-year old child was sleeping.

Pluskis was the woman’s neighbor, but he was listed on the sex offender registry as living at a different location in the city.

A check of the sex offender registry shows Pluskis was previously convicted in Illinois of aggravated sexual assault against two children who were five and seven-years old.

Pluskis was also sought by the U.S. Marshalls Service, though an arrest citation does not detail the charges in that case. He was served with another local warrant for contempt of court and is lodged in the Christian County Jail.
