Former Hoptown Hoppers coach Trey Porras was named over the weekend as the new baseball coach at Wharton County Junior College. Porras had served as an assistant coach at the school and also worked as an assistant at New Mexico and Texas-Corpus Christi. He was head coach of the Hoppers in the 2015 and 2016 seasons.
