Three celebrate victory, graduate from Drug Court program

Three people celebrated conquering their struggle with addiction and starting a new life Wednesday at a graduation for the Christian County Drug Court program.

The ceremony was held in honor of Brittany Ezell, Jamie Adams and Jennifer Frazier, who all completed the 18-month long program which has a strict, four-phase effort that includes frequent drug testing, maintaining a job, mandatory attendance at recovery meetings and weekly appearances to drug court.

Adams says he was on a path to a very dark place, until drug court helped him get his life back on track.

Ezell says she got tired of how her life was before she decided to fight back against addiction, and now she’s happy to be living again.

Frazier says drug court has given her a second chance at life and being with her children.

Judges Andrew Self and John Atkins both expressed their happiness and pride in the graduates, with Self urging others who may be battling with addiction to reach out to someone and get help today.  Atkins bragged on the drug court staff, who he says work very closely with the participants every day to help make sure they succeed and become clean.
