After posting a 61 on Saturday, Louisville area native Justin Thomas shot a 68 to win the PGA Tour’s BMW Championship at 25-under-par. Patrick Cantlay took home second after a 65 put his final tally at 22 under. Hideki Matsuyama rebounded from a rough 73 on Saturday, to post a 63 and finish at minus-20. Tony Finau finished fourth at 18-under while Nashville’s Brandt Snedeker and Jon Rahm tied for fifth at 16-under.
At the PGA Tour Champions Dick’s Sporting Goods Classic, Doug Barron at 17 under was a two shot winner over Fred Couples. Franklin’s Kenny Perry tied for ninth at 10 under par while Paducah’s Russ Cochran tied for 74th at seven over par.
