Cindy O’Bryan was sworn in Friday morning as Todd County Clerk.
Interim Todd Circuit Judge Jill Clark gave O’Bryan the oath of office at the Todd County Justice Center.
O’Bryan was appointed to the position Thursday by Jude-Executive Todd Mansfield, following the death of Clerk Leslie Cunningham.
The Todd County Clerk’s Office reopened Friday.
O’Bryan will serve until a special election can be held in November of 2020 to choose who will serve out the remainder of Cunningham’s term through 2022.
It’s not the first time O’Bryan has served as clerk, as she was appointed in 2018 following the retirement of former clerk Kim Chapman.
