A man arrested for DUI late Tuesday night was also charged with assaulting a police officer.
An arrest citation says 25-year old Aaron Hale of Hopkinsville assaulted an officer as he was arrested for DUI about 11:15 p.m. on Trail of Tears Drive.
Hale is charged with DUI, third-degree assault and resisting arrest.
He refused to submit to the breathalyzer test, according to the report.
