Christian County Deputy Clerk Melinda Humphries was presented with a 101st Airborne Division Eagle Service Award before Tuesday morning’s Christian Fiscal Court meeting.
It was issued by 101st Airborne Division and Fort Campbell commander, Maj. Gen. Brian Winski for efforts by Humprhies to assist soldiers as they transition into the community.
Judge-Executive Steve Tribble read the award as he and Mayor Carter Hendricks made the presentation.
Humphries was quick to credit her coworkers at the clerk’s office, saying they all work hard for Christian County every day.
In other action, magistrates approved a memorandum of understanding for the Christian County Juvenile Drug Court to receive about $12,000 in grant money.
Fiscal court went into closed session for about 45 minutes to deliberate the future acquisition of real property, but took no action.
