A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to establish a work zone lane restriction along a section of the Pennyrile Parkway north of Hopkinsville in Christian County starting Monday.
According to a news release, the work zone along the Pennyrile Parkway runs from about the 12 mile marker extending northward to about the 16 mile marker, a distance of about 4.5 miles. The project includes some grade and drain improvements along the median and shoulders, as well as pavement rehabilitation.
Both northbound and southbound motorists should be alert for lane restrictions and are urged to use appropriate caution in those areas. The target completion date is October 15, weather depending.
