A man has been arrested and charged in the assault of two small children Thursday night at the Quail Run Apartments in Hopkins County.
According to the arrest report, investigation determined that the two young children—who had been taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries—had been in the care of 25-year old Caleb Cobb of Partridge Drive when the assault took place.
Cobb reportedly fled the scene before officers arrived. He was located the next morning on foot in the area of Farmer’s Crossing in White Plains, and fled again when seeing officers.
He was apprehended a short time later and charged with two counts of first-degree assault, tampering with physical evidence and on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear.
