Three arrested after investigation South Jessup

Multiple arrests were made early Thursday morning following an investigation on South Jessup Street.

Officers received a report of an altercation involving a knife outside 403 South Jessup Wednesday night and several people ran when police arrived. The homeowner, 27-year old David Ewing of Hopkinsville, was located down the street and a computer check showed he was wanted on two warrants for bond revocation and failure to appear in court.

A search of his pockets allegedly revealed two counterfeit $100 bills, three baggies of marijuana, a baggie of suspected methamphetamine, pills and cash. A search warrant was obtained for his home and police say they found drug paraphernalia and additional crystal-like substances, in addition to a gun.

Ewing was charged with multiple counts of trafficking in a controlled substance, trafficking in synthetic drugs, first-degree forgery, criminal possession of a forged instrument, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and using restricted ammunition during commission of a felony.

Officers also caught up to 38-year old Tonya Williams of Hopkinsville after she allegedly fled and a report says she had a baggie of methamphetamine and a meth pipe in her purse. She was charged with possession of meth and drug paraphernalia and fleeing or evading police.

A third suspect, 23-year old Ernest Liberty of Hopkinsville, was arrested for fleeing or evading police.
