Pennyroyal Arts Council unveils live acts for upcoming season

The Pennyroyal Arts Council revealed the five acts that will make up their 2019-20 season for Live at The Alhambra Thursday evening with a party and music.

The reveal took place in the upstairs area of the newly renovated theatre, where attendees could taste treats and drinks provided by new business the Mixer. Arts Council Director Margaret Prim says these musical acts will help this upcoming season be the biggest and brightest yet.

The artists were revealed to be CeCe Winans on October 3, Maureen McGovern on November 15, The Annie Moses Band on December 15, Elvis impersonator Travis Ledoyt on February 14 and then the Stylistics set for April 18.

Prim says she thinks this season will bring a good diversity of music to the community, which is what the audience requested.

The Pennyroyal Arts Council has a slew of activities and events planned for the upcoming year, including the return of HopFest in November, performances, the Big Read and more. To stay up to date at what’s happening with the Arts Council or at the Alhambra, follow them both on Facebook.
