Pair arrested after shot fired toward vehicle on Boulevard

A man and his wife were arrested on felony charges Wednesday night following a road rage incident involving a gunshot fired on Fort Campbell Boulevard.

Police received a report of a shot fired from one vehicle toward another on the south end of Fort Campbell Boulevard in Hopkinsville and Sgt. Ed Eastman located it a few minutes later just after 10 p.m. near the intersection with Nelson Drive.

An arrest citation says the driver, 28-year old Nicholas White of Hopkinsville, had bloodshot eyes, slurred speech and he smelled of alcohol. A handgun was located in the vehicle that was loaded with ammunition with apparent notches etched into the tips, according to the report, which says opened beer bottles were found in the floor boards.

White and his passenger, 35-year old Donna White, were both arrested for first-degree wanton endangerment.

Nicholas White was additionally charged with DUI, possession of an open alcohol container and use of restricted ammunition during commission of a felony.
