Bond was reduced Wednesday morning for two of the five suspects charged in connection with the September murder of Jerry Robertson on Stateline Road near Allensville.
Daniel Westbrook, Douglas Cropper, Timmie Latham, Faith Martin and Brandi Scruggs appeared in Todd Circuit Court Wednesday morning and attorneys for Latham and Scruggs requested bond modification.
Commonwealth’s Attorney Neil Kerr told Judge Tyler Gill that he would not be opposed reducing their amounts to $1,000 cash.
Both suspects said they could make the bond amount, with Latham to live in Bowling Green and Scruggs in Russellville. Judge Gill allowed the bond reduction and imposed a curfew of 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. for both suspects, with an exception made for any work activities. Cropper and Martin were already out on bond.
Judge Gill also set another pre-trial conference for September 25, with trial scheduled for November 18.
Westbrook allegedly shot Robertson three times after Scruggs drove the victim in a car to an area just north of KY 848 on Stateline Road. A pickup occupied by Westbrook and the three other suspects passed the car and then stopped in their path of travel, according to the original Kentucky State Police warrant, which says all five suspects fled in the pickup after Westbrook fired the weapon that Cropper provided to him.
Westbrook is charged with murder, while the other four are charged with complicity to murder and additional related counts.
