William Turner continues recovery after stroke, appreciates support from community

Official local historian William Turner continues to recover after suffering a mild stroke in June and he’s thankful for all of the support he’s received in the community.

Turner is going to physical and speech therapy and says he’s making good progress.

He says all of the cards, well-wishes and visits he’s received have meant a lot.

Turner was able to attend a recent Hoptown Hoppers game and says he intends to make a full recovery to be able to be at all of the places and events he loves.

The 78-year old Turner is one of the most well-known residents of the region, having taught thousands of students during his careers at Hopkinsville Community College and Christian County High School.
