A 25-year old man was found shot inside a vehicle in Clarksville late Friday night.
Clarksville police were called to Iris Lane about 11:50 p.m. and located the victim, who was flown to a Nashville hospital, where he was listed in critical but stable condition.
An Iris Lane resident had been expecting the victim’s arrival and was on the phone with the victim when what sounded like fireworks was heard. The resident went outside, found the victim and called 911.
Another witness reported seeing a white Dodge Challenger or Charger leaving the area after hearing the gunfire.
A news release says Clarksville police do not believe it was a random incident.
