Man arrested for evidence tampering in Clarksville murder

A man has been arrested by Clarksville police for tampering with evidence related to a shooting incident Wednesday night on College Street.

Public Information Officer Jim Knoll says 29-year old Jackie Dewayne Davis was captured on video surveillance picking items that are thought to be shell casings off the ground and removing them prior to police arrival.

Davis was arrested and charged with tampering with evidence.

As previously reported, 26-year old Eric Hardy was shot to death and a 44-year old man is in stable condition at a hospital after the shooting in the 1000 block of College.
