Princeton’s Emma Talley had an opening round three over 74 at the LPGA Tour’s Evian Championship in France. Second round play is currently underway.
Jon Rahm is alone atop of the leaderboard at the PGA Tour’s FedEx St. Jude Invitational in Memphis. Rahm shot an eight-under-62 in the first round to take a three-shot lead. Louisville area native Justin Thomas is tied for 18th at two under par 68, with Nashville’s Brandt Snedeker tied for 24 at one under and JB Holmes is tied for 61st at six over 76.
Paducah’s Russ Cochran had a six over par 76 in the opening round of the Senior Open Championship Thursday at Royal Lytham and St. Annes. Second round play is currently underway.
