Trespassing investigation leads to meth charges

An investigation Tuesday evening on East Ninth Street led to the arrest of a woman for methamphetamine charges.

Hopkinsville Police Sgt. Ed Eastman saw 36-year old Renee Joynt of Hopkinsville leaving a property at 605 East Ninth shortly after 5 p.m. and officers knew her to have been warned to stay away from that property.

She was arrested for criminal trespassing and a search of her backpack allegedly revealed two needles containing meth.
