Four arrested on burglary, drug charges

Four people were arrested by Hopkinsville police Sunday morning on burglary and drug-related charges following an incident on Poplar Street.

Officers were notified of a burglary in progress at about 10:40 a.m. and were told by the victim that three females and one male had left the scene in a black vehicle. Police located a car matching the description occupied by three women and one man entering the Pennyrile Apartments and searched the vehicle.

Further investigation led to the arrests of 24-year old Paige Moody of Pembroke, 50-year old Regina Shaw of Madisonville, and 36-year old Tony Bowen and 27-year old Brittany Connell of Hopkinsville on second-degree burglary charges.

Moody was additionally charged with possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia and Bowen with possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia.

Bowen and Connell denied having ever been on Poplar Street Sunday morning, according to the reports.
