2019 Kentucky Miss Softball Katie Gardner of Warren East announced a change in schools over the weekend. Gardner announced via social media her intentions to play for Western Kentucky, after initially announcing plans to play at UT Martin. Gardner pitched in 32 games for the Lady Raiders this past season, leading Warren East to the state semifinals. She struck out 321 batters and had an earned run average of 0.74 in going 30-1 on the season.
