Two injured in Madisonville accident

Two Indiana residents were injured in a wreck Saturday morning in Madisonville.

It happened about 10:20 a.m. and Madisonville police say 81-year old Carmon Willis of Newburgh, Indiana was traveling in the parking lot of Denny’s and struck a parked automobile when she hit the accelerator instead of the brake.

She then jumped a curb, went down an embankment and hit a fence, went across the westbound lanes and the median of East Center Street and came to rest in the eastbound lanes.

Willis and her passenger, 84-year old Joseph Willis, were transported by ambulance to Baptist Health Hospital for treatment of injuries.
