Man facing multiple charges following stand-off on T. Sparkman Road

The Christian County Sheriff’s Department arrested a local man on multiple charges, including felony receiving stolen property and resisting arrest.

Evening shift deputies with the sheriff’s department reportedly received a tip about a wanted fugitive at a residence in the 1800 block of T. Sparkman Road. Once on scene, deputies surrounded the residence and announced themselves, which is when Daniel Sparks allegedly tried to flee out a side door but then closed the door and retreated into the residence.

A stolen handgun was recovered, along with a loaded shotgun. Along with the warrants, Sparks is also charged with felony receiving stolen property, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, resisting arrest and use of restricted ammunition during commission of a felony.
