Convicted sex offender indicted for rape, sodomy

A man who was convicted of sexual abuse in 1997 was indicted Friday morning for allegations of rape and sodomy against a child.

The Christian County Grand Jury returned an indictment for first-degree rape, first-degree sodomy and tampering with evidence against 55-year old Robert Charles Bishop of Paducah.

It alleges that he forced sexual intercourse and acts of sodomy against a juvenile victim between 2002 and 2006.

Court records show Bishop was convicted on two counts of first-degree sexual abuse in 1997 and he was sentenced to three years in prison.

Meanwhile in an unrelated case, 20-year old Jaleel Radford of Fayetteville, North Carolina was indicted for two counts of sexual abuse against a minor under the age of 12 for alleged incidents that happened in April of this year in Christian County.
