A pursuit on the Eagle Way Bypass Wednesday night ended with the arrest of a woman on a warrant and additional new charges.
Police attempted to stop 50-year old Lori Kelly at Canton Pike and the Bypass for possibly being impaired, but she continued driving, according to Christian County Sheriff Tyler DeArmond. Hopkinsville police joined in the pursuit until deputies used a pit maneuver to stop Kelly’s automobile at Eagle Way and Bradshaw Road.
A computer check showed she was wanted on a warrant for theft by unlawful taking. She’s also charged with fleeing or evading police, possession of methamphetamine, assault of a police officer, wanton endangerment, resisting arrest and several traffic violations related to the pursuit.
