Princeton’s Emma Talley just missed out on playing in the Women’s British Open following her 11th place tie at the LPGA Tour’s Marathon Classic. Talley finished with a nine under 275 score and won $26, 717. Sei Young Kim at 22 under was a two shot winner over American Lexi Thompson.

On the PGA Tour, Dylan Frittelli shot a 64 in the final round to take home the victory at the John Deere Classic. Frittelli finished the tournament at 21-under-par. Russell Henley took second place at 19-under, Andrew Landry was third at 18-under-par. Lexington native Josh Teater tied for 67th at three under.

Retief Goosen at six under was a two shot winner over Jay Haas and Tim Petrovic at the Bridgestone Senior Players Championship in Akron, OH. Franklin’s Kenny Perry tied for seventh at even par, with Union native Steve Flesch 10th at one over and Paducah’s Russ Cochran tied for 60th at 18 over. Perry, Flesch and John Daly will be playing this week on the PGA Tour at the Barbasol Classic at Keene Trace Champions in Nicholasville.
