A Hopkinsville man accused of assaulting a woman at Kroger Sunday afternoon was arrested following a foot pursuit.
Officers found a woman with swelling and bleeding from her face at Kroger about 5:30 p.m. and were told the suspect had fled the scene.
Police located 29-year old Henry Pratt, Jr. of Hopkinsville walking southbound along the Pennyrile Parkway and he would not stop when ordered, according to the arrest citation, which says he resisted as he was taken into custody.
Pratt was charged with fourth-degree assault, fleeing or evading police and resisting arrest.
