Heavy rain associated with the remnants of tropical system Barry will make its way to western Kentucky early this week.
A flash flood watch has been issued from Monday morning through Tuesday evening for far western Kentucky, southern Illinois and southeast Missouri—where up to five inches of rain could fall.
One to three inches of rain is expected in the Pennyrile region of western Kentucky and flash flooding is still not out of the question.
The flash flood watch includes Graves and McCracken counties and Kentucky counties along the Mississippi river.
A severe weather outbreak associated with Barry is not anticipated at this time.
