Todd County ends fiscal year strong

Todd County government ended the fiscal year June 30 stronger financially than it was one year ago.

Todd County’s cash balance was about $530,000 more June 30 than it was at the beginning of the fiscal year, according to Treasurer Tammy Robertson.

She says dispatch and the ambulance service actually went over their budgets, but it was a positive because the county decided to pay off the EOC building early to save money.

Robertson says the other departments also mostly performed well last fiscal year.

She says good fiscal management and strong revenue allowed for the good financial year.

In other news from Friday morning’s Todd Fiscal Court meeting, Emergency Management Director Daniel Smith notified magistrates that the county’s recently purchased ladder truck should be delivered to Guthrie Sunday morning.
