What began as an investigation of a suspicious vehicle early Thursday morning turned into a vehicle pursuit and ended with an arrest.
Hopkinsville police made contact with the car driven by 24-year old Kevonte Poindexter of Hopkinsville just after 2 a.m. near Sheffield Downs Boulevard and Derby Drive and an arrest citation says he fled from officers and ran two stop signs.
The pursuit ended at Oak Grove-Herndon Road and Lafayette Road, where Poindexter was arrested. He’s facing charges of DUI, fleeing or evading police, wanton endangerment, unlawful transaction with a minor, possession of marijuana and disregarding a stop sign.
