Hoptown Hoppers head coach Grayson Crawford has had the interim title removed from his pitching coach title at Austin Peay. The school announced today Crawford will be the pitching coach for the 2019 season. Crawford had been a volunteer assistant early in the season before taking over the pitching coach duties for the last 43 games.
The Governors pitching staff set a program record with 556 strikeouts and averaged a program-record 9.92 strikeouts per nine innings. In addition, Austin Peay pitchers held opponents to a .268 batting average, the lowest such mark since 2015.
