One person was injured in a wreck Friday afternoon at Pond River Road and US 68 in Elkton.
It happened about 4:30 pm., according to Elkton police, who say 19-year old Eric Zimmerman was trying to cross US 68 and failed to stop for a car operated by 61-year old Derryl Rigsby.
Zimmerman’s box truck collided with Rigsby’s car in the intersection and Rigsby was taken by EMS to a local hospital for rib pain and shortness of breath.
