Five people were injured in a single-vehicle wreck on Interstate 69 in Hopkins County during the afternoon on the Fourth of July.
According to a news release, a vehicle driven by Christopher Hardick of Princeton was traveling northbound near the 118 mile marker when it hydroplaned, causing him to lose control of the vehicle. The vehicle slid off the road and went down an embankment—heavy rain is listed as a factor in the wreck.
Hardick and his passengers, Charlene Suits of Princeton and three juveniles, were all transported to Baptist Health Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
