The Hoptown Hoppers won their second straight game last night thanks to some ninth inning dramatics from Edina, MN native Charlie Fischer of Southern Miss:
Fischer’s long ball gave the Hoppers a 3-2 win over the Franklin Duelers at Tiger Field. Fischer spoke with us following the game:
Fischer was 2-4 at the plate with an RBI, Drew McGowan and Cade Burkey also added two hits in the win, with Chandler Kendall in relief getting the pitching win. Hoptown is 16-10 on the season following last night’s win.
The Hoppers are back home this evening to host Muhlenberg County at 7:05, with First Responders admitted to the game free. The contest is sponsored by AT&T, with pregame at 6:45 on News Radio 95.3 FM/1230 AM WHOP and whopam.com.
