Clarksville Police have arrested a man in connection with the shooting death of a man on Eighth Street Thursday night and have identified the victim.
According to a news release, officers took 22-year old Adriam Hodge into custody around 4 p.m. in the area of Ernest Shelton Drive as a suspect in the death of 23-year old Kendrick Grayer. Investigation determined that a physical altercation began between Grayer and an unnamed party at the basketball court off of 8th Street.
During the fight, Hodge is alleged to have brandished a handgun and shot Grayer multiple times. Grayer was pronounced deceased at a Nashville hospital.
Hodge was taken into custody without incident and lodged in the Montgomery County Jail.
